A lease is a contract in which a tenant’s focus is usually (and understandably), on the rent. However, at the end of the lease the details of the contract, and failure to perform correctly, can dwarf the rent paid over the term of the lease.
Understanding some of the fundamental aspects of a lease would aid a tenant, possibly changing the choice of building, but certainly prepare them and their businesses for the responsibilities that may be close at hand.
