Project Requirement

The internal improvements comprised of reception and office refurbishments including new suspended ceilings, floor finishes, decorations, lighting, small power and overhauling the office toilets.

Externally, the original 1960s timber-framed windows were overhauled and replaced with high-performance aluminium framed units and an insulated render system, complete with new signage. Additionally, the existing felt flat roof was stripped back and renewed with a built-up insulated high-performance system subject to a 20-year warranty.

Project Outcome

The appearance of the school has been significantly enhanced. St John Vianney School now provides an inclusive environment for all visitors with new automatic doors, level access, modern reception counter and appropriate lighting incorporated within the scheme. The building envelope has also been upgraded with an insulated front facade, roof and thermally efficient double glazed windows and doors in compliance with modern building standards.
